Exhibition game

Last Friday we had an exhibition game against North Georgia. Overall it was a pretty good night. We took care of business in front of a good sized crowd (4,580 according to the game recap I read).
Since I’m redshirting this year I don’t even dress out for the games. To make up for not playing its a common practice around the country for guys that are redshirting to get extra work in on game days. So Friday, after class I headed over to the weight room and got a lift in before shoot around. Then I joined the rest of the team for our shoot around and pregame meal. After eating I went back onto the floor and got a good shooting workout in. Mistake #1: I did my workout after eating pregame meal. Never again.
Mistake #2: Not checking with the managers to see what their dress code was. Since we can’t dress out Gerald and I were wearing black UGA polos. Luckily for G, he went with black pants. I was wearing some khakis which turned out to be the same exact thing as the managers. My teammates had a ball asking me for cups of water and towels all night and saying things like “you look very managerial tonight”.
Quote of the day: “Ebuka is getting boo-kets” - Anonymous. (Getting buckets is a phrase that means scoring lots of points)
The team is definitely excited for our first game against New Orleans this Friday. I’m looking forward to seeing the type of energy the fans are going to bring to the table to support us this year. This Friday the game is at 7 and if you arent excited to watch us play maybe we can interest you in a free t-shirt? (the first 1,000 fans get shirts).
-Until Next Time

Ebuka was lighting it up pretty good. Hope to see more if that this year. How was the coaching afterwards. I noticed Coach Fox catching himself before yelling out. But I did see a lot of movement and pretty good passing.
Overall the team looked good.
Look forward to Friday’s game.
